About the Keynote:
The talk showcases the Lykke marketplace and discusses the use cases. The success of Bitcoin relies on the blockchain technology, which provides secure and tamper proof ledger of Bitcoin ownership. Today, blockchain technologies with different currencies compete. Blockchain can be used as a ledger for any financial asset with the open asset protocol. Blockhain technology will evolve into Internet-based notary service as a ledger for every financial asset. Blockchain is an enabler equivalent to TCP/IP in the world of Intent. The browser technology had to emerge for the Internet to take off. In the same spirit, we need a global marketplace, where any type of asset recorded on blockchain can be exchanged and swapped into any other asset. The talk explains, how Lykke has built a marketplace on top of blockchain, and outlines the next steps.
