Needs a location

    What we're about

We are very excited to announce that we are in the process of filing for our nonprofit status in the state of California. Once up and running, we will be located in Healdsburg, California in the beautiful Chalk Hill area.

While still in the early stages of planning, our goal is to provide homeless and rescued horses with a safe and nurturing environment where each horses' individual needs will be met. All horses will be cared for, loved, evaluated on an ongoing basis, and any gaps in training will be addressed. Sometimes it may just be seeing where the weak spots are, and other times starting from scratch. When the time is right and the match perfect, they will only then be adopted into caring homes. Our special interest is, but will not be limited to, foals and young horses. Our goal is to provide all horses that come through our rescue with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to become willing, happy, enthusiastic, and most importantly, safe partners for life.

I am fortunate to have a wonderful, natural horsemanship trainer who I have worked with personally over the past year. She is very committed to helping develop each horse to insure their success, not only with their new families, but for life. I am blessed to have her skills, knowledge, passion and love of horses as a part of Blue Horse Rescue. We are looking forward to the challenging and exciting times ahead and it goes without saying that I can't wait for our first horse to step off the that trailer!

Please keep in touch as we navigate our way to nonprofit status. If you have a passion for horses and would like to help out, please let me know. I don't claim to have all the skills it takes to make my dream a reality, but I do believe if we can bring enough like minded people together, we can make it happen.
