We endeavor to continue our 50 years of service, providing accessible arts education for all, presenting high caliber art exhibitions, bridging the arts, artists and business to fuel the creative economy, activating communities with art and creative fun!

Blue Line Arts showcases the works of regional and national artists, and offers flexible exhibition space suitable for small musical performances, lectures, parties, and demonstrations.

As a non-profit organization, Blue Line Arts is entirely funded by memberships, grants, sponsorships, fund-raising events and other donations.

Hue of You

*Adult Program* Create, Innovate & Launch into your creative essence with a radiant & colorful mind set. Create ‘You’ in a work of Art through color meaning and intensity. This program is carefully crafted for individuals seeking to express themselves more creatively whether you are a complete beginner or an established artist. Learn to Ignite your Spark of Inspiration ~ Awaken and connect your creative core to your personal essence ~ Use color to better understand and explore your unique way to express creatively, and put more personal meaning into your work of art based on color meaning and what you want to attract. This 2 hour session features a fully facilitated, step-by-step expert art instruction & art as therapy guidance provided by Deidre Trudeau. Participants in this creative art-making session will use a combination of mixed media water-based art materials, including acrylic paints as well as mark-making materials. We will be exploring a variety of effects and designs, composing and layering various materials and paints to create a stunning, luminous works. There will be a mix of drawing, painting, experimenting with paint densities, washes, pooling, studies in value, negative space, and color. No previous experience or course is required, all ‘Hue of You’ playshops stand on their own. Acrylic Pour Workshop

*Adult Program* Are you ready to learn about the secret ingredients for a successful acrylic pour painting? Join us for this free-flowing workshop, perfect for beginners/intermediate levels. Teaching artist, Wende Obata will share the do’s and don’ts of this abstract & expressive art medium. Participants will learn the basics of color mixing, safety procedures, how to properly prepare the work space, how to create unique cells in your painting and how to handle a butane burner to solidify the paint! Those who have already taken a workshop or have experimented with acrylic pouring on their own are invited to learn something new with the use of different tools such as strainers. Experimenting with bold, vibrant and metallic colors will produce beautiful results! Each participant will create 2 acrylic pour paintings on 12×12 inch canvases. Please note: paintings will be wet at the end of the workshop, therefore we encourage participants to leave them in the gallery overnight to allow time to fully dry. Marvel Superhero Illustration

*All ages welcome* Marvel Artist Jerry DeCaire who has illustrated Thor, Deadpool, Wolverine and other super popular heroes for Marvel Entertainment. He will give a presentation on his career as a comic book illustrator along with a live drawing performance! Participants will learn from the professional on how to use cubes and cylinders to draw a superhero profile/head, design your own superhero costume and comic book page. Are you ready to learn the art of blue line drawing in a professionally illustrated comic book page? Feel free to bring any comic books with you that you would like to have signed (please refer to publications list). Artist will not have comic books on hand but he will have art prints available to sign ranging from $15-$25. There will also be an open Q&A session, but questions are all welcome throughout the workshop as well. All materials will be provided.
