Are you currently on a Paleo-Primal-Whole30-style diet?

Yes, although we do eat some dairy (kefir, hard cheese, cream, butter) and white rice.

If so, how long have you used it and what changes have you noticed?

We switched over in 2010. I have an autoimmune disease and I've seen a dramatic improvement in my symptoms since switching my diet. My whole story is posted on my site ( if you're interested. My wife has seen a significant loss in weight, and our son's behavior definitely improved.

What do you want to learn by joining this group?

I'd be interested in hearing about local resources available, and sharing our experiences with finding fresh, local produce. We have already found local farms for grass-fed beef, but we're always shopping around for something cheaper!

Hi, my name is Russ Crandall. I run the Paleo-friendly recipe site The Domestic Man (. I'm originally from Washington state but have been living in the Baltimore area since 2008.
