Board & Card Games Day -- June 16
We're back for another day of convention-style open boardgaming and cardgaming! We've rented the hall for nine hours, so feel free to come for a quick game or two, or stay and and play for the long haul. This is a great event for new members. If you think board games peaked with Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, and Scrabble, you're in for a treat! Build your empire across the stars, stand tall through Wild West shootouts, solve a mystery with the help of a ghost, travel through time, save Camelot, and many more fun, social, and intellectual diversions. You're also welcome to bring your own games to share. Game captains will be on hand to lead games, introduce members, and explain rules, so don't worry if you haven't heard any of these games. Part of the fun is learning! Board games are a great "thinking person's relaxation" and offer much funny and odd fodder for conversation. WHO? For newcomers and veterans alike. Meet some new friends, bring a pal or three if you want, and get ready to have some fun! TIME? The event starts at 12 noon and goes til 9pm. At 5pm we hand out prizes, and we'll round out the evening with a group game for 10-15 players: Werewolf, or Dead Last, or Two Rooms and a Boom. COST? $10 adults, $5 for kids 12 and under. ANYTHING ELSE? There are plenty of places to grab food nearby. People tend to get dinner between 5 and 6 (after the prizes and before the group game). Some snacks are for sale on-site. Hope to see you there!

What we're about

Calling all board game geeks!

Get ready to play some European board games.

Our group meets for games across Los Angeles, with a big monthly games day in West LA.

Whether you're up on all the latest games or haven't tried anything new since Monopoly, we'll have a large assortment to share & teach.

Playing games is a great way to meet new friends, because you automatically have something to talk about!
