Welcome to Board & Brews!!!
We’re a fairly active gaggle of friendly meeples with meetups occurring three to four times a month. We enjoy playing all sorts of games, from classics like Catan and Dixit, to Euro's, to Amertrash, heavy strategy, short games, long game, card games, and occasionally the weird and mysterious. We cover it all, but what really makes us very different from gaming in a local store is a shared love of the brew. It’s a mix of 30% games, 30% socializing, and 30% beer. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you what the remaining 10% is. That is secret. You'll have to attend a few meetups to find out. We meet at a few locations throughout Austin, and are always looking for new places to board and brew. (And if you don't drink, that's cool too. We may hold you suspect, but we respect your decision and will welcome you with open arms! Figuratively speaking of course.)
We have a combination of open gaming days, as well as scheduled gaming for those interested in playing specific games, or learning a new game. You'll find those that hosts are super friendly, welcoming to new comers, and sincerely interested in sharing the best of board gaming. We only ask that if you commit to a scheduled game and can't make it, you remove yourself from the list to allow others the chance to attend, and shoot the host a quick message that you cannot make it. Otherwise, the only other rule is to "be excellent to each another."
So if you're looking for a nice group of board gaming geeks who game with a smile and a cold one in their hands, then you've found the right place. Looking forward to rolling some bones together!

I have the Big Box version so we have the option of playing with any of the expansion maps if everyone is interested in that.
New players are welcome as I can teach the rules at the meetup. The game accommodates up to 5 players so I set the attendee limit to 5 people. If the event is full, feel free to join the waitlist and you will be automatically added to the event if someone cancels/drops out.
