Bodhicharya Kent is very happy to be hosting Tenzin Peljor once again after a number of years, for a day retreat on the Four Noble Truths.

The Four Noble Truths were the first teachings that the Buddha gave and they form the core teachings of the Buddhist path common to all Buddhist schools and traditions.

They are :

1. The Truth of Suffering and dissatisfaction

2. The Truth of the Cause of suffering and dissatisfaction

3. The Truth of the Cessation or the end of suffering and dissatisfaction

4. The Truth of the Way to end suffering and dissatisfaction

Tenzin shall take us on a journey through the Four Noble Truths to help us understand them and how they function in our daily lives. The day will also include meditation instruction and practice.

Tenzin is a German Buddhist monk who has been studying and practising Buddhism since 1995. In 2006 he received full ordination from H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama and in 2007 Ringu Tulku Rinpoche appointed him as the resident monk of Bodhicharya Germany in Berlin.

From 2008–2013 he studied the “Masters Program” of Buddhist studies at Istituto Lama Tsong Khapa in Italy and currently continues his studies there.

Tenzin believes in the importance of putting wisdom and compassion into action and is therefore socially engaged.

Tenzin has been regularly visiting Bodhicharya Kent since the beginning and has given many teachings, including running a number of day retreats.

We will go to the local Sikh
Gurdwara in Gravesend for a donation based vegetarian lunch. There are many other options and places to eat in Gravesend if Indian food isn't your thing.

£15 suggested donation for the day, please give what you can to support the not-for-profit activities of the group, however cost should not be a barrier to attending our teachings and events as we always value your presence more than your donations.

Please give your donation on the day, thank you.

All are welcome, beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

We hope to see you there for what will surely be a lovely day :-)
