I started the group as there didn't seem to be much going on in the Bodmin area. I am interested in socialising, walking (with or without dogs), coffee and cake, lunches or afternoon tea and maybe the occasional games evening or trip to the cinema - oh and visits to pubs ( how did I forget that one!!)☺
The group consists of mostly single people (although we are not a dating site!) and the age range is largely over 50s although there are some younger members. If you think you would like to join us, just Request to Join.
CHANGE OF MEET UP PLACE AND TIME
Meet at MAIN car park at 7 pm and wander down. It is about 10 minute walk down to the quay.
Off to Fowey Regatta to see 'Not the Beatles' which starts at 9 pm, followed by fireworks. Not sure if we will watch them at the Quay, or climb back up to the car park and watch them from there, Depends on the timing of the fireworks.
Main car park has 269 spaces, (Hanson drive) so it should be ok for parking, meet at the entrance once you have parked. If we get stuck for parking Ready money car park has 60 spaces, and is further along the road.
If you can share lifts it might be a good idea. Parking is free at that time of night for both car parks
£1 meet up applies.
Join me for a Bank Holiday barbeque near Bodmin!
I will provide all the food for a £4 donation (unless you have a particular dietary need).
So chicken, burgers, sausages, salad and desserts all included. Please bring your own soft or alcoholic drinks. I will provide tea and coffee.
Let's hope for a sunny 🌞 day and have a chilled afternoon.
Let's do a bike ride on the quieter (hopefully!) part of the Camel Trail.
We'll meet at The Borough Arms car park at 2.30 pm and cycle to Wenfordbridge. This is only about 6 miles and took me about 1 hour 10 minutes to get there (uphill!) and 50 minutes to return.
There is a cafe, The Snail's Pace at Wenfordbridge where you can get a lovely cup of Cornish tea (or other beverages) and some cake 🎂 before the ride back.
I have booked a table for 8 people to eat at The Borough Arms at 6 pm if you would like a roast or something else from the menu.
Hope you can join me for this Bank Holiday cycle ride.
