What we're about

Do you feel the call to reconnect with your self, your body, and the Earth? I do, too, and that's why I created these events.

My purpose here is simple: reconnect others with the Earth, and spread the love.
Together, we'll have fun deepening this connection to the natural world around us, with ourselves, and with others, by engaging in hiking, strength-based embodiment practices, meditations, and more.

The focus is to bring you into a deeper relationship with your physical form and the natural world, through a strength-based embodiment practice and a joyful walk in the presence of nature, with a renewed sense of vitality, strength, and freedom in your body, and a greater love for our Earth. I'll also be listing other retreats, workshops, and classes as they come up!

Spirit & Strength Workshop (at Catoctin Mountain Park)

Catoctin Mountain Park

This is a paid meetup. To purchase tickets go here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/spirit-strength-workshop-tickets-59129620286 Come enjoy the beautiful spring weather and reconnect with your body and your spirit. The focus of this hike is to reconnect with our appreciation and oneness with nature through learning grounding and meditation and movement. You'll learn to foster a deeper connection to your true authentic self, divine energy and sense of intuition with meditations, spiritual work, and a natural movement strength flow to deepen your sense of embodiment. The hike will be approximately 4-5 miles over varying (easy/moderate) terrain, with the purpose of grounding you deeper into nature and cultivating a relationship with the Earth. Our intention is to facilitate a stronger connection and presence with yourself and extending that connection to the surrounding world. Together we'll bring you into a deeper relationship with your physical form and the natural world, so that you can come away from the day with a renewed sense of vitality, strength, and freedom in your body. Please remember to pack your own lunch, bring plenty of water, wear comfortable, hiking-friendly clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and a yoga mat/blanket/towel if you'd rather not sit in the soil that you can fold & stuff it into a backpack. (This is not yoga asana- the movements are based more on bodyweight strength, mobility, balance, and overall body control, though the outline of the class may appear similar to yoga!) Approximately one week before the event, further instructions will be emailed to you, including place of meeting within the park, etc. My goal is for you to come away from the day with a renewed sense of vitality, strength, and freedom in your body, and a greater love for our Earth. PS: The end time of the event is an approximation: it may be a little shorter or a little longer! Leaders: Elisabeth Castleman (www.bodybalancetheory.com) Harriet McMahon (www.cgandh.com)
