The Short Ride is 28 miles, mostly downhill. (There is also a 48 mile Option) See the website: Friends of the Weiser River Trail for details. This is a single day fundraiser for the trail. Last year the shuttle sold out, so dont wait too long! They drop you at New Meadows, so you can ride downhill. Lunch at the Senior center is always very entertaining!

*Look at The Calendar-June Bike Event.
See also last year's post. We had a blast. You need a bike which can ride gravel and packed dirt. This is not a technical trail. But you probably do need slime, lots of goatheads! Optional Camping At Evergreen. Please make your own reservations, I will post how to find us.
***PS: You can ride this trail anytime, but this event is fun. Be prepared, the temperature can be nice or super hot. Very little shade. Carry plenty of water and arrive well hydrated!
From the web site:
Short Ride: This ride departs from the Council, Idaho trailhead at 9:00 am. Riders are shuttled to the northern end of the trail near New Meadows. It is a 28 mile ride back to Council. The route is mostly downhill and is excellent for beginner riders. The northern 20 miles of the trail is in forested canyons with rivers and bridges. The final 8 miles of the ride is through agricultural land with sections of the trail lined by trees.
