Book your spot by filling out the Participant Questionare here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/ Cost: $150 When: July 19th at 7:00pm to July 21st at 2:00pm This is a rustic wilderness camp with basic amenities including 8 cabins, shared shower house, dining hall with full kitchen, volleyball court, group fire pit and private lake entrance with a dock for swimming! Please note there is only air conditioning available in the kitchen and dining hall. The cabins do have windows and there are outlets for you to bring a personal fan. We have our own private camp with lots of shade trees and beautiful private use of the lake! Each cabin will sleep 4-6 campers, and you will be grouped with your friends! Don't have friends coming with you? That is not a problem, I will put you in a cabin with new friends! This retreat will be a collaborative wellness retreat for woman 18 years of age or older. This weekend is for woman who want to recharge and tap into their self love in a beautiful outdoor location. I wanted to do a retreat like this because I always wanted to attend one of those fancy wellness retreats but couldn't afford the $600+ cost for the weekend. I work very hard for months planning this and making sure it is much more affordable then typical retreats! We will be working in a collaborative environment where we will get to know those in our cabins and work with them as a team! There will be outdoor activities such as a guided hike, paddle boarding, outdoor yoga and more! This will be an encouraging and collaborative environment. Get to know yourself by trying something new like paddle boarding or trying hiking for the first time. ***Please note that alcohol, tobacco and mean girl behaviors will not be allowed! There is also no AC in cabins and the group shower house.   • Kayaking Finger Lakes Water Trail

    Let's celebrate summer, paddling around in the water! Alpha Betty Rebecca will host this meetup and meet everyone at Finger Lakes, to do an afternoon of paddling around Finger Lakes water trail. Rebecca has been kayaking for awhile and will be helpful to any beginners to paddling. This water trail is calm water with no current, so beginners are welcome! Instead of a walking path, water trails were built allowing for paddlers to follow a 4.50-mile trail around the park. The trail has two sections. A north section that's 2.20-miles long and south section that's 2.30 miles long. The water trail has signs along the route. Each direction takes about 45 min with constant paddling. The park will provide a personal flotation device and paddles with boat rental. If you own a canoe/kayak then bring it and this event is free!! The park will rent you a canoe or kayak for the water trail, and your rental comes with a PFD and a paddle. Canoe rental $10/2hr or $25/day Kayak rental $15/2hr or $30/day When: Sunday August 4th, 2019 @ 10:00 am ALL LEVELS WELCOME! Where: Meet at the Park Office at Finger Lakes State Park 1505 Peabody Rd. Columbia, MO 65202 Cost: $10 for a 2 hour canoe rental (2 people) or $15 for two hour kayak rental (1 person) Free if you have your own vessel, PFD and paddle.   • Onondaga Cave/ Camping

    Ozark Outdoors Riverfront Resort

    This Bold Betties event is half private cave tour (4 hours) and half camping trip. I have reserved camping site # 1126 at Ozark Outdoors Riverfront Resort. This resort is only 5 minutes drive from the cave tour. Onondaga State Park Camping is fully booked for the entire summer so I had to book at the other closet place, and this is privately owned and costs to camp per person, per night. The site that has been reserved is a family site and fits up to 20 people. This site is between the bathrooms and near the water. The cost to camp is $26.24 PER PERSON for both Friday and Saturday night. If you only want to camp for one night (Friday or Saturday) then the cost is $13.12 PER PERSON for the one night. I have paid a deposit and will need to collect all the money via PayPal or Venmo by AUGUST 1st. The date for this event is August 10! We will carpool down on Friday night, camp and then do the 5 hour cave tour on Saturday. This is about about a 2 hour drive, 15 minute drive, and we would carpool together unless you just wanted to come down on your own Saturday. Those who are doing the cave tour, will need to be at the cave entrance ready to go at 9:30am. If anyone wants to just come and just camp, there are tons of activities offered at Ozark Outdoors Riverfront Resort including tubing, floating, in the tree's ropes course, hiking trails.   • Big Piney Trail Fall Backpacking

    Big Piney Trail is a 16.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Roby, Missouri that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. This hike has some tough elevation so please make sure you are in good physical condition to hike it with yourself and a pack. We will meet in Columbia Friday evening and carpool to Paddle Creek camping area (2.5 hours away), where we will camp for the night and head out on the trail early Saturday morning. This is a 2.5 hour drive and we will set up camp when we get there at a shared camping spot. If you would like to meet us Saturday morning, we will leave camp around 8am. Milage: 16.1 mile loop, gaining 1,919 feet in elevation. We will break it up into 8 miles each day. We may have to cut it shorter depending on our groups level and how everyone is feeling. No one will be left behind, we will stay as a group! Mandatory items to bring: Positive mental attitude Gas money for drivers Your own meals- we will talk about what to bring Items from check list Camp site donation of $5 per person Basic gear (we will talk about what we each need.) We will pool gear, rent and borrow what some ladies don’t have. You may have to purchase/ borrow/ rent some gear if we can't find everyone a backpack/ sleeping bag/ sleeping pad, etc. We will share items such as tents/ hammocks/ water filters/ stoves/ first aid kit, etc.
