The Amazon rainforest is at once, both magical and foreboding. The multitudes contained within help unlock mysteries all over the world, including the mysteries within YOU. Bold Betties is inviting members from all over the country to join us as we journey to one of the world’s wildest places to experience the beauty and wonder of the Amazon! Our members are some of the most positive and encouraging women to be found anywhere and they give out high fives everywhere they go! Be prepared to be overwhelmed with positivity and to make new, lifelong friends! The Guides Your guide will be Paul Rosolie, an award winning filmmaker, author, and conservationist who is dedicated to protecting the Amazon Rainforest. Together with his wife, Gowri Varanashi, he has designed a remarkable 9 day jungle expedition that is guaranteed to help you push your boundaries and discover your bold! The Accomodations and Setting You and your teammates will be staying at the amazing Las Piedras Biodiversity Station in the lowland rainforests of Peru. The station is surrounded by 7,000 hectares of primary rainforest reserve, meaning you will be immersed in the rainforest completely. Wildlife is extremely abundant here! The mornings are often filled with the calls of parrots, toucans, and howler monkeys. You can expect to have regular sightings of macaws, caiman, capybara, snakes, and frogs. Other more difficult to spot wildlife includes: jaguars, ocelots, tapirs, giant armadillos, anteaters, and deer! The Las Piedras Biodiversity Station is certainly remote, but it still has a lot of the creature comforts from home such as, running water, showers, and toilets. There are comfy beds with mosquito nets and even hammocks to relax in. On the main deck you’ll find a library with field guides and biodiversity surveys to help you learn as you go. The fully staffed kitchen employs local chefs who cook authentic local cuisine to help power your mind and body. It is undeniably an extreme environment, but it is also paradise. Virtually every person that comes to the jungle leaves changed in positive ways. There is something in the elemental simplicity of wilderness that forces us to explore new parts of ourselves as well as to truly rely on others. When people are exploring a river at night, climbing to the canopy or dancing in a butterfly vortex (yes that is a thing in the Amazon!), I feel privileged to watch their transformations. We’ll all have the unique opportunity to explore the greatest diversity on earth. And through our team’s guiding experience, I promise that there is nowhere on earth and no one around who can give you such an intimate and incredible immersion into the Amazon. I am certain you will have a safe and amazing trip that you will remember for the rest of your life. Moab, UT: Best of Moab - May 9-14

TBD

The hardest thing you can do in Moab is leave. We've been taking our members to Moab for five years now and every time a trip ends, we get a little misty eyed. Not only does it suck to have to say good-bye to new friends, it's even worse to have to say good bye to the glowing red rocks of the Utah desert. Three days is just never enough. That's why we've worked hard to plan an EPIC multi-sport trip with 6 full days of non-stop, exciting activities! This is a chance to really dig your heels in and see what this amazing area has to offer! If you're a Moab first timer, prepare to be amazed! Even though this trip is a little longer, it's still perfect for newbies! Not only will you be blown away by the scenery but you'll be equally blown away by the positivity and kindness shown by everyone on the trip!
