Before you sell your company, even the odds. While a successful entrepreneur may exit a handful of companies in their lifetime, large buyers close deals all the time. Without decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions, founders don’t have the tools they need to get the best results for themselves, their teams, or the new parent company.
Learn where deals get into trouble, how to create alignment between negotiating parties, and what terms you should care about most. Above all, learn how to win in both the short and the long term, maximizing your price while positioning your company for a legacy you can be proud
of.

In this fireside chat with the authors of the book Exit Right, Mark and Mert will be covering topics like…

  • When is the right time to sell your startup?
  • What are the factors that founders should consider when they are evaluating exit paths?
  • What is an “Exit Talk”?
  • How can founders use it to reach alignment in their boardrooms?
  • How can founders optimize for the long-term?
  • What are some of the common pitfalls that founders should avoid when they look at a term?

OpenUp: Preparing for a Liquidity Event

MeetUp and our ticketing system are not compatible.

A liquidity event typically happens when the leader of a company receives a large amount of cash due to a merger, acquisition, or IPO of the company. It is a big payday for those in the company with ownership as well as for any private or venture capital investors who have ownership.
Much of the uncertainty around liquidy can be lessened with a strong understanding of the process leading up to your event. Taking the time to commit to the necessary planning, understanding the tax implications, and finding a professional who has your best interests in mind will help ensure you receive a significant reward for your hard work.
To understand how to reduce risk now to have a better outcome later, this webinar will cover…

  • Ownership alignment (expectations and timing for outcome)
  • Legal structure (proper contracts, equity preservation, scalability)
  • Reliable financials (builds trust, makes the process easier)
  • Business performance (YOY growth, profitability, efficiency)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Founders who are preparing for their liquidity event or have this event on their horizon.
