We are a group of women (Baby Boomers born generally between 1946-1964) who want to enjoy life and build lasting friendships. We are single, single again, married or widowed, and are at a place in our life where most of us are either working or retired, with many of us having grown children, and most likely grandchildren! We share a common bond of having experienced the ups and downs of life, and yet can support each other in many ways; sometimes simply through having fun together.
We usually meet in the Charlotte, Ballantyne, Fort Mill and Indian Land areas for a variety of meetups to include brunch, happy hour, wine tastings and dinner. We love to get together for movies, plays, a comedy night, cooking classes, and walks on nearby trails. Day trips to the mountains and other places of interest, along with specialty events throughout the year are planned to ensure our members always have fun and memorable times with each other.
In order for our members to form lasting friendships, we keep our membership number to 50. We ask that each member actively participate in meetups, and maintain a current RSVP for all events. This helps each meetup to be well-organized and ensures everyone has a terrific time.
Our group has an annual dues policy of $20, payable annually by September 1st or upon joining. Dues cover the utilization of the Meetup.com and other miscellaneous costs incurred throughout the year. You are welcome to attend a couple of events to see if our group is for you before you pay dues.
The Boomer Babes of The Queen City is a terrific group of women who embrace life knowing the great joy of real friendship!
