Intermediate Armizare -- Swordplay, Dagger, Grappling

Fiore dei Liberi's L'Arte di Armizare (The Art of Bearing Arms, c. 1410) --Interpretation, drills, and focused and open sparring.

About Boston Armizare:

We practice Fiore dei Liberi's L'Arte di Armizare (The Art of Bearing Arms, c. 1410), the earliest surviving comprehensive system of longsword, dagger, grappling, and more.

Our students work on a combination of longsword, abrazzare (grappling), daga (dagger/knife) and other weapon skills. These skills are drawn from direct translation from historical sources, developed through multiple physical interpretations, and tested at speed.

Though we emphasize historical technique, our training sessions typically include warmup exercise, interpretation, drills, and (for members who have met our safety standards) focused and open sparring.

New students should take our beginners' class first, or contact our instructors for more information.  We're happy to have visiting scholars from other programs come and play!

See you there!
