February 22nd and 23rd at 7:30 PM: Boston Ballet proudly presents BB@home, a preview of Full on Forsythe held at our South End headquarters in an intimate, black box theater setting. Before it opens at the Boston Opera House on March 7, join us for an exclusive first look at Full on Forsythe, celebrating the many facets of acclaimed choreographer and visual artist William Forsythe. This program showcases his innovative choreography and signature style in three dynamic works, including the return of Pas/Parts 2018, the North American premiere of Blake Works I, and Playlist (EP), Forsythe’s first world premiere created on an American company since 1992. The program concludes with a conversation with Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen, William Forsythe, and dancers. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get up close and personal with our art and artists! Space is limited and tickets sell out quickly. Tickets are $55. Experience the innovative and utterly contemporary choreography of William Forsythe who “has taken a long and loving look at ballet’s past, and moved it into the future.” (The New York Times). This program features bold, boundary-testing ballet including the world premiere of Playlist (EP), the sheer joy of Blake Works I, and more. At one of our previous meetups, our group enjoyed a 'meet-and-greet' with Graham Johns, one of the second soloists and fairly new member of Boston Ballet. We plan to have another such bonus with another dancer for our group following the performance if we have at least 10 people in the group. You may invite a guest or two to join us for the evening as well. Our seats will be about midway in the orchestra right center section. These are regularly $89 seats but they will be only $48 for our group (almost half-price). When you reply to this meetup I will email to you the information to contact Boston Ballet for our discount and seating. We will gather between 6:45 PM and 7:20 PM when we will go to our seats.
