What is your favorite wine you've ever had?

At the first winery I ever visited for a tasting- Pinot Noir- Highfield Estate, New Zealand,

How much are you willing to spend on a bottle of wine to bring to a tasting?

I usually spend $10-20 so I'm reluctant to spend much more than $25. But I'm a strong believer that there's great, affordable wines- and that pricetags are far from the final say in quality!

Would you take a turn hosting a small 10-12 person group at your home?

Yes! I've been to a similar hosting where people bought two bottles (of the same bottle of wine) and had a blind tasting. Whoever brought the wine with the most votes- got to take home the other half! (lots of fun!)

I've loved doing tastings at wineries and learning about wines with enthusiastic people. I spent two years in New Zealand which opened a whole new world of great, inexpensive wines.
