Our use of the term "Queer" encompasses every conceivable flavor of the rainbow. If you're vanilla and rainbow friendly you're welcome too. Coming out as Queer is tough. Then you find a Queer community and think you're home... until you try to come out as a Christian/Messianic/Born-Again-Believer too. If you've been told one too many times "This is not a place to talk about God", guess what. Now here's a place where you can come out as Queer and as Christian. Don't matter if you feel God is Male, Female, NonBinary. That's not a bible in your hands, it's a translation. Honest people agree to disagree agreeably about many theological questions, yet we agree that God is real, gets involved in our lives and loves us... and we love Him/Her too! Come, come out, and be uncensored in your spirituality as well as your sexuality.
What shall we do? Our meetups may be eclectic. We may do karaoke, parties, bar-takeovers, even descend upon LGBT+ friendly church services and events (by their permission). We may talk, sing, draw, play music, write, dance, even comfort people going through rough patches. We'll play it by ear and see what people like. The only thing we'll be dogmatic about is that all people who call themselves Christian and Queer are welcome. We ask that everyone be kind. If we feel there is any lack, let us build up with creative practical suggestion rather than tear down with negative criticism, keeping in mind that we're all different.
NOTE: True-hearted seekers are also welcome, as long as they're willing to celebrate, rather than refute, the faith of Christian believers who find refuge in this group. This is not a change the nature of the group, but a clarification to render it more easily understood.
