Meeting Description

There are several Cloud Communication companies which allow developers to create apps that send and receive SMS messages and make and receive phone calls. Twilio is one of the largest with over 150,000 developer users as of October 2012. In this session we'll Learn how to utilize the Twilio ColdFusion library by Jason Fill to voice and SMS enable your apps.

About the Speaker

Seth Johnson has been developing database driven applications for over 12 years. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. Seth most recently utilized AWS to launch his start-up which provides SMS marketing capabilities to small businesses.

Seth lives on the Silicon Sandbar (Cape Cod) with his Wife and two Sons. When he's not pounding plastic he enjoys traveling, golfing, and cooking.

Schedule

Note about parking/public transportation: One Marina Park Drive is located on the South Boston Waterfront, between the Moakley Courthouse and the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA). Some on-street parking is available near the building (on Seaport Boulevard & Northern Ave). The meters on Seaport Blvd stop at 6 pm, the ones on Northern Ave at 8 pm. There are also several parking lots in the area which charge ~$12-$15.
