Mastering Chrome DevTools - Workflow tips and tricks

Jared Williams will be discussing the in's and out's of Chrome's DevTool, a feature-rich development toolset that keeps getting more and more goodies. He will touch on things like Workspaces, Keyboard shortcuts, Settings, a little bit on Profiling and Flame charts and more. He'll show some demos for how to do advanced features and talk about new features coming down the pipeline.

Jared is driven by his 10 years of experience and passion for creating interactive interfaces using the latest front-end technologies best suited for a project. He is always looking for ways to get ahead of the curve either searching for ways to improve development workflows, Web Standards or best practices for front-end development. He is an advocate of AngularJS, Yeoman and Polymer, and is a contributor to theDevTools documentation as a Chrome Developer Expert.

Startup Institute Boston will be sponsor food and drinks at the Meetup.

Hello good people. I am a web developer new in town. I would love to connect with enthusiastic collaborators/recruiters.
    Catch me up.

Too bad I was on wait-list and couldn't make yesterday's Chrome Dev. Tools Meetup. I am sure I am going to enjoy the Slides, thanks for the talk, Jared.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming out last night and I hope you all enjoyed my talk. I have uploaded the slides for the presentation here:

I am working on getting the recording of it online as well, and will post that here once I have that all set too.

Google development tools is a tough subject. Some developers present were avid user and knew their way around, others were beginners thrilled to learn new cool stuff. I personally love the flame chart and being able to analyze my pages and see where I can improve speedy delivery.
Big thanks to Martha and Pascal Rettig as well as Jared Williams for an interesting topic.

I ended up parking in the garage, I didn't realize there was one right under 150 Congress Street. $10 for evening parking.

The presenter didn't seem very enthusiastic about the topic, which really dragged down the material.

This is my first meetup, is there parking near the location?

    October 23, 2013

Meters in the Seaport district across the Channel go until 6pm or 8pm -- you have to read the text inside. I always find one if I drive around enough.

It's ok, I have a network issue I'll be dealing with for the rest of the night so my rsvp was changed. Thanks anyway, I look forward to next month

I'm looking to build a Chrome browser plug-in like www.bufferapp.com has. Will this talk relate in any way to that?

Why are people posting their profile/job status on a talk about 'Mastering Chrome DevTools - Workflow tips and tricks'?? Please use the 'Discussion' tab and/or go to the talk tonight (or to future events) and network afterwards.

Unpaid internships are virtually always illegal. The major exception is working for a non profit. Don't let companies take advantage of you. The bottom line is that if what you are doing benefits the company in any way, you have to be paid a legal wage. Agreeing to an illegal unpaid internship hurts everyone. Companies are now being successfully sued for not paying interns. Here is the law from the feds: http://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/whdfs71.htm

    October 22, 2013

You'll get an email if a spot on the waitlist opens up

      October 22, 2013

  • adam

    Will this be recorded?

    2 · October 19, 2013

Well, now I'm in! I look forward to meeting you all tomorrow night!

    October 22, 2013

  • Jeffrey

Unfortunately, on Meetup, the majority of those who are signed up but know they won't be there either don't ever change their status to release their spot, or do it minutes before the event, making it impossible for a waitlist person to get there in time. I have no idea how the powers that be take attendance for this event.

    October 22, 2013

  • Betsy M.

Hi, my name is Betsy and I am a web designer and developer, and a back-end sql programmer. I'm looking for full time work. I have subject matter expertise in healthcare, finance, and education. You can see my work at www.betsymcnair.com. I look forward to meeting you at the event!
