By popular demand, come enjoy hiking and Hindi in the Middlesex Fells Reservation, just off Route 93 and just north of Boston proper. We will go on a ~5 mile hike and chat in Hindi as we go. We will hike the 5.2 mile Reservoir Trail, which is considered a "moderate to difficult trail" and is expected to take about 5 hours (https://www.friendsofthefells.org/trails/). With luck we should see some nice colors on the trees!
Rain cancels; I will be checking the weather forecast and will send a final go/no go message the night before by 9 PM latest.
Meet at the Middlesex Fells Upper Sheepfold Parking lot, at the board at the northern edge of the parking lot, at 9 AM sharp. Parking should be available given our early start, but consider taking Lyft/Uber if you don't want to worry about it.
Please bring the usual for a hike, including good hiking boots, layers, plenty of water, snacks, and a packed lunch. You may also want to bring bug spray/sunscreen, a first-aid kit, and non-cotton athletic clothing.
Please note that I am not a trained wilderness guide, nor do I have any special expertise or first aid training. I'm just a volunteer who enjoys speaking Hindi and amateur hiking! While the Fells are pretty tame, any hiking is an outdoors activity with some degree of risk. By participating in this you acknowledge that you're in good physical condition and willing to risk the inherent dangers of this activity, and you agree not to hold the organizers liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur on this activity.
