For this meetup we'll be joining with the folks from the sipXecs User Group, a community of people dedicated to the development of the open source voice over IP telephony server.

Douglas Hubler, chief architect of the sipXecs project, will look at how they built tools to configure MongoDB in a variety of network topologies. In addition, a discussion about how single master systems are a good fit for communications based applications.

(NOTE: Old topic was : a credentialing system.)

focus was on application integration of mongo, implications of single master, securing mongo cluster over the internet, using shards for high availability in multi-branch network topologies, and a bag of tricks i learned working w/mongo. I could tell it was not everyone's bag, sorry about that. I should have punted entire connection to SIP when no one raised their hand they knew about SIP.

We should have plenty of time to discuss general mongo topics. I started a list but folks can submit and/or vote-up their own topics.

I wanted to make an update on the topic for Tuesday. It's less about a "Credential system" and more about seem-less configuration on mongo in a variety of network topological. In addition, i was planning on talking about how single master systems are a good fit for communications based applications.
