This is a group focused on LGBTQ culture, heritage, social issues, and politics from a Russian and Eastern European perspective.
Originally focused on Russian-Speaking LGBTQ individuals, we welcome progressive people who identify with and support Russian LGBTQ culture and heritage. We welcome everyone who has ties to Russian (and neighbors) LGBTQ communities to join us.
Our activities have included social action around the Sochi Olympics, a gender and sexuality conference, wine tasting, meals, and local happenings (like the Dyke March). Most events use English as the dominant language. This is the Boston branch of RUSA LGBT Meetup group located in New York City. Anyone from Boston area or visiting from another state or another country is welcome to attend.
Let's celebrate our identity and fight for diversity, social justice, human and civil rights for LGBTQ people everywhere we live. Let’s join together in creating a social network and community united by common culture.
Bring along your family, friends and significant others. Let's get together, hang out, share our stories, have fun and create a Russian-and-friends LGBTQ community along the way. We are single, we are couples, we are parents, we have parents, sisters and brothers - we are just like you!
Tell us a few words about yourself. Our approval process is quick and easy. We are very friendly bunch and our meetups are a lot of fun. Go ahead and join us. We hope to meet you soon!
We also invite you to join us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/rusa.lgbt.
