This was my first meeting and it was GREAT!!!! Perhaps you could follow up with someone from Autodesk going more deeply into each of the sections of A360.

Very nice everybody! As a first time attendee, the group was welcoming, social and well educated in the information they presented for the evening. I would recommend this group, at minimum, to all Autodesk users. I attended with the understanding the topic of the evening was not directly connected with my career; however, I was quickly rerouted to understand new technology is definitely part of my career. BRUG is not about changing minds or pushing product, just great at informing our industries about change.

I was hoping that maybe there could be several monitors available to this group and maybe 3 to 4 from this group could work together to get the hands on experience. I am very good on AutoCAD with 4 or 5 years experience until a year and a half ago when I lost my job. Please consider this possible arrangement, because all the work today is a change over to Revit, BIM, and other new computer programs that quicken the design process. Most resumes requested are expecting the latest knowledge and will not consider less.

The training through the Autodesk subscription service is very basic so I am personally having trouble expanding my knowledge and finding answers to my questions. I work in a small office and am basically learning on my own which can be frustrating. This group at least gives me some sort of community that I can connect with and hopefully get some help from.

The ability to network and share ideas is a great reason. There is a learning curve using Revit and this would be a way to get ahead of the curve. There are people with a lot of experience willing to share it in this group.

  • Boston Revit Users Group

If individuals want to share and learn what other professionals are doing out in the workforce with Revit and touch upon BIM, then it would be a good idea to join to discuss their thoughts and ideas.
