Model yacht racing in Boston
Needs a date and time

Needs a location

Greetings, I live in Boston and I've been traveling to Marblehead to race my boats at the Marblehead model yacht club which, needless to say, is a pain to get to. Wouldn't it be cool to re-establish the Boston model sailing club! We sailed RC Lasers on the lagoon by the Charles River in years past, but for whatever reason it didn't catch on. My dream is to find a suitable location to have regular racing with boats such as the Soling One meter, or the CR-914, right here in Boston. (I currently have both in my collection, as well as others). One possibility is the Micro Magic which is quite small and easy to carry on a bike to the Esplanade. Here's a video of those https://youtu.be/Mx68Iq5wilU . Perhaps A good location to race might be the lagoon on the Esplanade, nearest Mass Ave, or the dock nearest mass ave, or even that area nearest community boating. Certainly if anybody has a good idea for a location that's cool too. In short, RC sailboat racing is a Blast! My email is [masked] thanks
