What we're about

Boston Social Sailing was organized to help people interested in sailing meet up, sail together, and have fun.

Boston Social Sailing invites everyone interested in sailing come sail with us. Everybody is welcome, from experts to novices and to those who have never sailed before.

Group’s Charter:

• All sailing events are free.

• To make sure everyone gets to sail, new members will be given a priority in booking sailing adventures.

• We will have special sailing adventures in summer.

• Sailing adventures will be recreational for the most part with an average duration of 4-8 hours.

Please note that members with 3 "No Shows” to a sailing event will be removed from the group. Please remember to update your RSVP in-time to give others opportunity to take your seat on the boat. If you can’t make it, please try to give us at least a 24-hour notice. Of course, a more advanced notice would be appreciated.

Sailing a Sonar in Boston Harbor

Needs a location

This will be an ~3-hour sail. Itinerary will depend on conditions. A Sonar is a 23 foot racer/daysailer with no head, cabin or engine. An RSVP indicates your interest in the sail but does not guarantee you a spot on the boat. I will confirm your spot by contacting you directly. Do not be confused by system generated emails! Please describe your sailing experience when prompted. Preference will be given those able to work the Jib and/or steer without supervision. There is plenty of dry storage so bring extra layers, food and water. PFDs will be provided. There is free parking in Piers Park and on both sides of Marginal Street.
