Are you a young professional (20s-30s) in Boston or the surrounding suburbs interested in volunteering and giving back to the community? Wouldn't it be great if you could also network and socialize with other young professionals at the same time? If you answered yes to the above questions, this group is perfect for you!
As Boston Young Professional Volunteers, we seek to promote and enhance the quality of life in the greater Boston community by partnering with local organizations to foster social responsibility through service and volunteer work.
Registration fees are waived. This is now a virtual event. Cue sheets will be sent out; alternatively, you can ride whatever route you’d wish, wherever and whenever you want.
Let's ride in the 2020 North Shore Tour de Cure! This bike ride raises funds for diabetes research. If you register as an early bird (through February 2020), the registration fee is only $20! The fundraising minimum is $250, at which point you get a t-shirt :) There are other prizes (rain jacket, jersey, etc) for raising more money.
Routes are 15, 30, 63, or 100 miles. I'm registered for the 63 mile route.
This is a tour, not a race! There are rest stops every 10 to 20 miles.
Join my team by going here: http://main.diabetes.org/goto/sableweisman then clicking "Join my team" and registering.
What to bring:
Bring a water bottle to reduce waste—large water dispensers are available on site and at rest stops. All cyclists must wear a helmet when riding. Additionally, please bring:
Your bike =)
Medical insurance card
Extra tube for your bike
