Snow shoeing & Lunch

  • Weather permitting, let's meet up at Weston Ski Track to go snow shoeing. Afterwards, we can grab lunch at a nearby diner. Kids can snowshoe, you can bring them in a carrier, or you can rent a pulk (where you pull them behind you). If families like this, we can try something a bit more adventurous/off-track later in the winter.

I've never been snow shoeing and it sounds like awesome exercise. The website has a limit of 10 slots though. Just thought I point that out in case there is a space limitation.

Hi Danielle. That's good to know. I haven't done this before so didn't know if a class was necessary. I like your approach. Do you know if there are sleds there we could rent to tug the kids along or should be being our own sleds? I have a 3 year old that I'm bringing.

Hi Christine, they have Pulk sleds which you can reserve in advance - seems they have a limited number so I would encourage people to reserve them if they think they'll want one. Here's the link: http://www.skiboston....

Hi everyone! I probably won't be able to go this time, but I've been to the Weston ski track before and can confirm that it's doable with small kids (or pregnant)! I can also confirm that it's easy for people with close to zero athletic ability :) They do have a limited number of sleds available for rental, but if you have your own, it's probably worth bringing it since they may run short if a lot of families with young kids come at the same time.
