Boston Babies Clothing Swaps (newborn - 3T) in Jamaica Plain
*Swap rotates monthly between Charles/MGH/Gov Ctr area & JP, this month we are in JP* (This event is only visible to members of the Boston Babies! Clothing Swaps FB group. Please invite friends to join the group and then they can see the event and RSVP. is the link to share. Thanks for spreading the word!) Have clothes that no longer fit? Toys and gear your little one has outgrown? Bring them to "hand down" to other parents! Clothing newborn to 3T, gear (bottles, pump parts, breast pads) and maternity clothing is welcome. If you have something larger to pass along, list it in the Facebook event in advance so you have a "confirmed" taker. Any items remaining will be donated to Cradles to Crayons Massachusetts. We're social! You are encouraged to bring your baby and partners are welcomed. There will be a babysitter available to keep your little one company while you browse. Expectant Parent? Are you waiting for the arrival of your little one? Expectant parents are encouraged to join us. Lots of newborn outfits for you to take home. Fee: To cover group costs, we request a $5-$20 (sliding scale) fee per family. Cash is preferred (and quicker), we also accept Venmo, PayPal, and Facebook Pay. To encourage participation, we waive this fee for anyone donating a bag of clothing 18 months - 3T. Clothing and items will be organized by size/type - and are free for the taking. Where we meet: We will be alternating venues each month. This Swap will be in Jamaica Plain at Showa Institute. Next month, we will be at Old West Church by Charles/MGH. Showa Institute is located near Larz Anderson at 420 Pond Street, in JP. The campus is set back from the road, but you will see a sign for both “International Campus Boston” and “British International School of Boston” from Pond Street itself. Parking We moved to this JP location to have access to a large empty parking lot. When you enter campus and go through the gate, take an immediate right, towards “Parking Lot A”. Park in any space, and there are stairs leading up to the main entrance. Should you need an accessible space, there is limited parking just outside the entrance. To access that area, drive straight through Parking Lot A, and at the other end, take a LEFT and drive up the hill. There will be spaces on the right. We'll be posting information about additional parking options on the wall of the event. The entrance to the building is a glass area, with the American, British and Japanese flags flying outside. Please enter and follow signs to the event. Campus security will ask that visitors wear name badges for the event. Bringing snacks for your kiddo? Or to share? Please no nuts, peanuts or sesame seeds. Save the Date: Next Swap Saturday, October 20 at Old West Church by Charles/ MGH from 10:30am-12noon. (This one will be up to 5T) This event was posted in Boston Babies! Clothing Swaps. Invite your friends to this group if you'd like them to know about these monthly swaps and be able to RSVP for this event. What we're about

Boston Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas, who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times per week, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, parent-and-me classes, and living rooms across the greater Boston Metro and Providence, Rhode Island areas. We'll also organize parenting workshops and Dads Nights Out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood.

There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for all active dads. A diverse group with dads of all stripes: stay-at-home dads, dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelancers, working dads, teachers, and involved fathers in and around the Boston Metro and Providence, RI areas to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.

** Please note this group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will try to join for their significant others but we encourage them to join on their own accord. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.
