Announcing a new Meetup for Boston Live Music!

What: Musaner & Garo Papazian and Paul Erlich Duo @ Ryles

When: September 23,[masked]:00 PM

Where:
Ryles Jazz Club
212 Hampshire St
Cambridge, MA 02139
(617)[masked]

Do you like to hear, see and experience the unusual?
Then this could be a meetup for you!

I don't know a great deal about Musaner, But I do know local artist Ken Field and he plays with lots talented local musicians and other bands as well.. The Revolutionary Snake Ensemble (MySpace)

I know it will be interesting as both the opening duo and Musaner explore different time signatures and rhythms to make very unique sounding music and an interesting evening out.

Listen to Musaner MySpace Page

Opening will be artists I know and have heard many times...

Garo Papazian and Paul Erlich, performing musical improvisations inspired by Indian, Mid-Eastern, and American traditions on acoustic guitar and doumbek, with an emphasis on exploring odd time signatures.

Listening to Garo Papazian on the drums is a treat as you'll not find many artists that use the fingers and hands to play the way that he does. Many players that play drums, just smile and laugh in amazement while watching and listening to Garo drumming, he certainly uses all his fingers and more.

Some members may recognize Paul Ehrlich from the Stretch Band (MySpace) amongst some of his latest musical efforts.
an example of Paul and Garo can be heard on Paul's MySpace

Look for Paul and Garo 2004 as an example of what you'll hear.

Tickets are $10 with $2.50 charge.. BUY TICKETS HERE

Be sure to come early enough to see Paul and Garo who start at 8pm.
Hope to meetup with you there.
