FREDDIE MCGREGOR - CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP TOUR

  • Jul 20, 2013 · 8:45 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

I noticed there have been quite a few music related events lately so here's another great Act gracing us with his performance in Boston:

Freddie McGregor is one of reggae's most durable and soulful singers. McGregor has spanned nearly every stylistic shift in Jamaican music, from ska and rocksteady to Rastafarian roots reggae to lovers rock to dabblings in dancehall, ragga, and dub. If you are into the above or just plain love "Conscious Music" then come on out!

With: Chino McGregor, Soul Rebel Project, DJ Jkool
This event is ages 18 and over with valid ID.

By far the best concert I have attended this year! Okay perhaps a tad biased because he's my countryman :) He took me back to my years back home in Jamaica, songs I thought I had forgotten came right back to memory. It was so nice to see others sharing our music and seeing older Jamaican's and others just jamming to his music. Also enjoyed his brother Chino McGregor and the other band. All around a wonderful well spent evening.

Amazing show! The opening act, Soul Rebel Project was good, and even the classic dancehall being played as we waited for the "Captain" was great . Freddie was amazing. Incredible that a man with so much gray can rock a crowd like that! :)

Do people want to meet in the cafe area at 8pm before the show? It's on your left as you enter the building, but before the concert hall

Yes, I'll likely be next door at Brown Sugar Cafe prior to the show but will meetup at 8. My other group will be joining so I'll have them meet in the same area so we can all hang together if folks prefer

It looks like Soul Rebel Project will be there as well. I've been wanting to see them also for a while...should be a great one!

Yes, I got ticket. You can purchase online. Not sure if best to wait until show night, no indication it's sold out yet.

I have my ticket. It's a well-known name, so I would probably recommend getting it ahead of time
