The purpose of this technical workshop is to educate individuals on what DevOps is and provide a hands-on training on how to build your first DevOps pipeline. Please bring a laptop if you want to follow along. Food and drinks provided!

We'll build our pipeline using:

SonarQube - Security & Quality Test
Github - Source Control
Jenkins - CICD
Maven - Build & Test
Docker - Operating-System-Level virtualization (Containers)
Artifactory - Artifacts Repository Manager
Pivotal Web Services - Platform as a Service (Hosting Applications)

LAB Requirements:
Create a Jenkins Account: http://18.216.57.173:8080
Create a Github Account and Fork this: https://github.com/cybersecuritynp/spring-music-app
Create a PWS Account: https://account.run.pivotal.io/z/uaa/sign-up

Optional:
Install IDE such as VS Code or Sublime
Install Git CLI

Presenter's Bio: Abdel Sy Fane
Abdel is an Senior Security Manager at Protiviti and president of CSNP. With over five years of experience in security and ten years in the IT industry, Abdel is passionate about a wide range of security topics, including Threat Intelligence, DevSecOps, and Artificial Intelligence and security integration. He received his master’s in Cyber Forensics & Security from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2014, and since then he has consulted for the Veteran’s Administration, PayNet and Allstate. As president of CSNP, Abdel is dedicated to unifying the security community and promoting security education.
