Play games, serve food to the Elderly at the Salvation Army

Dear Boston Volunteers,

We had done some volunteering at the South End Salvation Army for Thanksgiving and Christmas and we had a great time.

Here is one more opportunity to assist the seniors program. This program consists of lunch, arts and craft, game tables etc

Volunteers will be playing board games, pool, foosball etc with the elderly, serve food to them for couple of hours and spend some time. Total volunteering time is 3 hours.

This program started just few days ago and they got 87 elderly and mostly from Chinese/Asian community. Salvation army decided to continue this program with the help additional volunteers from "Boston volunteers".

Also, as there are lot of Chinese/Asian elderly, we are looking for volunteers who can speak Mandarin or Cantonese. (Its preferred, not a requirement) If you speak any of these languages, you will be automatically prioritized in the RSVP list.

Volunteers? We are looking 5 regular volunteers and 5 Mandarin/Cantonese speaking volunteers for the event.

When? Every Thursday, 10 30 am to 1 PM

Where? South End Salvation Army, 1500 Washington Street, Boston, MA

Contact at Salvation army: Find Gregory Norman inside the building and say that you are representing "Boston Volunteers".

As always, please feel free to contact me any time.

Thanks

Phani
