Discovering Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2012 with Alain and John Junguenet

Seaport Ballroom B & C

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is my favorite red wine, but in an unheard of switch, Anthony, leader of the victorious American team at our recent Bottle Shock movie event will be anchoring this event. (I'll be tasting Napa's next door, thank you).

Payment is $50 through the Expo web site (click here)

Note, RSVPing here does NOT sign you up for this Boston Wine Expo seminar. You MUST reserve your spot by paying via the Expo web side. Click above or here:

I haven't set a limit on RSVPs, but be aware that these seminars are selling out fast, so you should book quickly to ensure a spot.

About the Seminar

Alain & John Junguenet are back for their 17th year at the Boston Wine Expo! In this year’s seminar they will be exploring the great 2012 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape!

The 2012 vintage in France was difficult generally but the southern Rhone region was blessed with a good crop both red and white. Winemakers from Châteauneuf-du-Pape including Claire Michel from Le Vieux Donjon, Pierre Pastre from Château Fortia and Albin Jacumin and Bertrand Stehelin, each from their self-titled wineries, will be on hand to present their wines and discuss the elements that made 2012 such a memorable vintage.

Join the Alain and John for what is, year in and year out, one of the Expo's most popular seminars.$50.00

Thanks to everyone who attended. It was an excellent opportunity to hear from the owners/winemakers from the various vineyards as well as meet & greet afterwards. Looks like we have some contacts to setup wine tours in France for our July Trip. Vive la France. Note to self: Install that darn Rosetta Stone French software package sitting next to my iMac next time before I go to a French winemaker discussion.

I suggest eating something before the tasting. For those interested, we will get together in the Tamo Bar/Lounge for light food between events. See http://www.tamobar.com/

Is anyone else going to the Grand Tasting after the class?

    • Anthony G

Welcome Kim, since many of us are also going to the 3:00 Bordeaux tasting, some may be relaxing between tastings or possible trying to get some food. You are welcome to join.
