VOTE FOR PIECES TO PLAY IN MAY!

For our 1 year anniversary, we are revisiting the pieces we played from previous play-ins. Vote on the pieces you would like to play here: http://www.meetup.com/Boulder-Cello-Project/polls/805012/ If there are any pieces that are NOT listed please put them in the comment box below.

Come join us in a relaxed environment to play some cello ensemble music. We'll have a good mixture of beginners to advanced cellists.

2:00 PM - 2:30 PM Food, Drinks & Social. For members who would like to eat some snacks and meet other members, or warm up, before playing. This is not required. Members can simply show up at the scheduled play-in time.

2:30 PM - 5:00 PM Cello Choir. Time is flexible and you may stay longer or leave earlier depending on your schedule. We will take a break midway through the play-in, and members are free to leave during break time if you have other commitments and cannot stay for the entire 2.5 hour play-in.

This meeting will be for all levels, whether advanced or playing in a group for the first time, and will be led by an experienced cello teacher. We will work on playing and practicing together, dynamics and speed, and having fun!

To prepare for this meeting:

1. Music and audios have been posted. If you have any issues accessing the music, please feel free to send us an email. To view music, please do the following:

-Go to our main website and select the Login tab

-Select the Red Lock

-Enter the password

2. If you have not attended one of our play-ins before, please also read http://www.bouldercelloproject.com/play-in.html for more information on what to expect at a play-in for yourself and others.

3. Please tune your A to 441. We will also tune before the play-in. If you're not sure about tuning, don't worry about it. We'll be happy to help when you arrive.

4. Please bring your music stand. Don't forget to bring a music stand if you have one (we have extras available as well) and please label your stand. We will be playing 'musical chairs' so players sit next to cellists playing their part.

We look forward to playing with everyone!

Can't imagine a more inclusive AND serious about making quality group. My spirit is replenished as is my motivation to keep practicing and stretching. THANK YOU Steven, Gemma and ALL. Molly

Wonderful! It was also the 1st anniversary. We had sushi, GIANT pizza, cookies, drinks, and a superb cake with a chocolate cello and music. Gemma is just the BEST! Also had a fun (and instructive!) time with Stephen leading and Clayton playing. Thanks to all who make it possible!

Votes are in and the music has been posted! :) Please sign up to parts as we have a new moderator, Stephen, who will be leading our May session! Cellists also happened to vote for pieces that have more than four parts so we want to make sure that all of the parts are covered. Enjoy! :)
