Happy New Year!
I'm thrilled to announce our third meetup! Hopefully everybody has had an excellent holiday season and is ready to get back to learning.
We'll be meeting at Gnip in Boulder next Thursday, the 30th of January, at 6:30 pm. This time we're going to try a slightly different format. To start the evening, I'll be giving a short, beginner-focused talk about making maps in D3 and providing some resources that will help everybody learn more about geographic projections, topoJSON, zooming, and more.
Following that, we'll have Monte Lunacek giving a more in-depth talk about using iPython and D3 together for interactive, literate data analysis. I've been wanting to hear about Monte's work in merging these systems for a while and am looking forward to seeing how it works.
See you next week!
