We will also discuss changes to our event at the Museum of Boulder. Jiffer Harriman - Musical Robotics Jiffer will demonstrate and perform with his MIDI controllable motor driver hardware and computer controlled mechanical percussion instruments. Mirela Alistar - biochips Mirela will share her work on electronic devices called biochips that manipulate droplets of fluids by executing “bio-protocols” –programs that move, split, and mix droplets containing chemical compounds ("reagents") Torin Hopkins - Modular Guitar Torin will demonstrate a recently completed musical instrument called the Modular Guitar.     NEW! In parallel with the open mic, we are kicking off a new "Symbiosis" series on bio-inspired art and design (this event will feature a workshop on how to build a spirulina bio-reactor). This workshop will teach you how to grow your own edible culture of Spirulina, an algae super food. You will learn how to build and operate an open source algae bioreactor, and learn how to care for and harvest live food grade Spirulina.
