Knotted Mala Workshop

Nomad Bead Merchants

$30.00

Note that this class is blocked out for three hours in order to make sure everyone can finish or nearly finish. Note also that beads are not included in the class price. We suggest that class attendees come a little early to choose beads if not bringing their own. Our example uses 6mm rounds; 8mm will work but makes a very long finished mala. Learn to knot snugly and accurately between beads using Griffin beading thread and knotting tweezers. This project calls for a lot of patience, but no other technique flows like a knotted piece - and the knots will prevent loss of multiple beads should the thread give way under wear. Our mala will be very simply finished, using a single bead to pass through and small knots or a medallion. If you'd like to bring three or more people, please give Nomad a call at[masked] and we will see if there is space! This class does not include the beads in the class price - students will need to bring their own or purchase beads at Nomad.

Channel Wrap Bracelet Workshop

Nomad Bead Merchants

$45.00

The wrap bracelet has become a modern classic. The basic technique can be adapted for length anywhere between two wraps and five (more if the creator is feeling really ambitious), and nearly any bead that can accommodate two thicknesses of thread will work well. Our beginners' version is a two-wrap made with rolled leather and 6mm Czech glass beads. We have more than twenty colors of leather to choose from, including matte finishes and metallics, and an eccentric collection of beads and buttons to boot.

Intuitive Readings by Sarah Itkin

Nomad Bead Merchants

Sarah Itkin is a psychic medium, angel communicator, and licensed social worker. She uses her gifts to guide others in healing their lives and reaching their highest potential. Since childhood Sarah has been gifted with psychic abilities. Vivid, psychic dreams gave way to dreams of being alive in other times in history. As she reached adulthood, Sarah began to experience prophetic dreams, the ability to see into the future and unknown situations, and the ability to channel messages from angels and deceased loved ones. The desire to help humanity has always been a guiding force in Sarah’s life. After earning her master’s degree in 2006, she established a practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a therapist, focusing on children and families. Throughout her career, she has relied on her intuitive abilities, empathetically sharing her clients’ emotions. In 2014, Sarah began to mentor with psychic development teacher Diane Ronner to hone her gifts as a psychic medium and angel channel. In 2015, she combined her psychic gifts with her training as a therapist to provide a more profound level of healing. In 2016, she added Reiki and psychic parties to her offerings. Join us for readings on Friday, October 25 from 3pm-6pm. The cost is $1.50 a minute with a ten minute minimum. You'll be charge the $15 in advance to reserve your space. Any additional costs will be collected at your session. Please call us to reserve your specific time block: (303)[masked]. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone!

Beading Basics Class - Wire Wrapped Loop

Nomad Bead Merchants

Learn the foundation basics of wirework! The wrapped loop enables the creation of all manner of beaded drops and links, elements that are essential for earrings and other wire projects. Class will discuss wire gauges and tempers, tools, and will make several example links. Tools and materials are included. This is a technique class, so students will not be making any finished projects. Please be prompt! The table we work at can accommodate five or six people per session, and we are running on a first-come, first-served basis. Our instructor will do her best to catch people up mid-session if necessary, but it's far easier to learn what we have to teach when the whole group is working at roughly the same point.
