Welcome to Boulder's MTT (Marathon Training Team) Long Run Group. We are now in Season 5 (Winter-Spring '17) and going strong. The idea of MTT is to provide a year round, FREE group to train with. If you are not training for anything in particular, just come out to run for the fun of the group atmosphere.
We'll meet every Saturday morning and run between 8-20 miles. You can modify the route and mileage as you wish, but please have a base of at least 8 miles before joining. Pace will vary based on group size, but in general our average hovers right around 8:20-8:40. This is fun, people. Everyone's active here - but the idea is you can also have a conversation while running. No one is winning this run...and no one runs alone.
During each training season - we gradually increase our mileage (with planned drop back weeks built in to safely train up to marathon distance) to train for a late Winter marathon. I'm training for the Tokyo marathon race in late February.
