Learn the secrets of compelling portrait photography with a blend of technique, artistry, and psychology, even if you're on a budget! When you learn to dispel judgment and put your subject at ease, you'll move into the moment to create a better portrait.
This workshop examines the location portrait shoot, from preparation to execution to post-production. You'll learn to compose great shots with one light and reflectors, though you can extend these principles to more sophisticated studio lighting. We'll emphasize getting great results and minimizing post-production headaches.
This workshop will cover:
Pre-visualization and pre-production
Scouting and choosing a location
Making the subject comfortable
Composition in portraiture
Basic on-location lighting
Avoiding common mistakes
