Thursdays, March 28, April 4 and April 11 7-9:30
Class Description: The Dialects and Accents workshop is a 3-night intensive focused on bringing actors’ awareness to their personal vocalization, hearing the shapes of spoken sound by others and then integrating new phonation into scenes. The fun and interactive format will allow students to listen, learn, and then try on new dialects in a relaxed group atmosphere. Students will leave the class with new accent tools.

Bio:
Joshua Kirk has been a theatre skills instructor since 1996 and has taught in the Denver area since 2002. He is an award winning children’s theater director and is directing his 24th fully stage children’s musical, James and the Giant Peach, with almost 100 youth performing three different accents! Joshua recently added a Masters in Theater Education from UNC to offer students a greater educational experience. His infectious excitement and passion for accents and dialects is evident in his facilitation. He looks forward to working with you!
