TYPE: STSP Monthly | PACE: 3MPH. Conversational (and a small patch of silence). TERRAIN: Sidewalks, gravel paths, park trails. | DISTANCE: 3.1 miles. | ELEV GAIN: 146 ft. Yoga limited to 12 participants; the walk is open to 20 attendees.
Description: Join us for this unique blend of morning trek and yoga, or participate in just one part or the other!
Start with beautiful views through the foothills of N. Boulder, a loop around Wonderland Lake and the chance to reflect briefly in silence during a small incline on the return path. Stretch out afterward with gentle yoga for injury prevention and renewed energy. Optional tea and snack will follow the yoga class, rotating at local cafes nearby.
This monthly event is dedicated to connecting to ourselves and our community.
The structure of the experience will generally follow the following format. You are welcome to join for WALK ONLY, YOGA ONLY, or WALK/YOGA BLEND:
Monthly Trek: 9:30am - 10:40am
Gentle Yoga: 11am-12pm
Tea/Snack nearby: 12-1 pm
WALK ONLY: Free
YOGA ONLY: $10.00
WALK/YOGA BLEND: $10.00

Walking Movement Leader: Elizabeth Penziner is a Walking Movement Leader at Walk2Connect and Registered Yoga Teacher.

Participants of WALK ONLY: depart 9:30am at Lee Hill/5th St. trailhead
Participants of YOGA ONLY: arrive 11am at Yoga Intentions (4645 Broadway St. Ste C4)
SKIP at Lee Hill Rd. (depart for walk 9:30am at Lee Hill/5th St. trailhead)
SKIP at Yarmouth Ave. (arrive for class 11am at Yoga Intentions: 4645 Broadway St. Ste C4)
~ Dogs are allowed. Please also be sure they are well-behaved and on a short leash. No retractable leashes please.
~ Accessibility: Yoga studio is wheelchair accessible. The trek is not.
~ Wear/Bring: comfortable clothing and trekking shoes, light backpack for snacks and water, gloves/scarf/sunglasses/sunscreen as needed.
~ There are no restrooms on this route. There is a restroom at Yoga Intentions.
Cancellation Policy: We only cancel in extreme weather conditions on our path, such as ice, hail, or lightening. Check Meetup or contact the leader if you are unsure.
Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online “Welcome Waiver” (http://www.walk2connect.com/welcomewaiver/) or download, print, sign, and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience in 2018.
Please note that we begin each activity on schedule, and are unable to accommodate late arrivals. Please refer to meeting point and departure times listed above to arrive promptly and safely.
Participation in the monthly walk is free of charge. Participation at yoga is $10.00. Each individual pays for their own tea/snack order.
Due to space restrictions, the yoga class is limited to 12 participants.
