📣 Designing for Accessibility with Graham Armfield
In this presentation I will outline a few key points to keep in mind when you are designing your next beautiful website or theme. I will illustrate the points with some good (and bad) examples.
Good design and web accessibility can go hand in hand - come and find out how.
As always if you've got any burning questions or a problem you just can't seem to solve we're now dedicating half an hour from 7.15pm for open questions and discussion relating to WordPress.
6.30pm - Doors open
6.45pm - Pizza & Drinks
7.15pm - Open floor, questions
7.45pm - Talk
🍕 The meetup is a free event. Pizza and drinks supplied by our sponsors 34SP.com (https://34SP.com) and Delicious Brains (https://deliciousbrains.com/).
🏢 The Venue
The Chocolate Box is situated at 8-10 Christchurch Road. It’s the building that once had NatWest bank on the ground floor and is opposite the Gala Bingo building.
When you arrive, please use the large entrance on the right of the building which has the words “The Chocolate Box 8-10” written above it and an electric vehicle charging point outside.
Press number 15 on the keypad and you will be let in. We’ll put up signs directing you to the location of the meetup. It will be on the 1st floor.
The building is 100% accessible with a ramp to the main entrance and lifts to all floors.
Venue kindly supplied by Media Lounge and JD
There are free car parking spaces directly outside the building. The signs say that you can only park for 30 minutes but that's only until 7pm so if you arrive after 6.30 then you should be good!
Alternatively, there are often spaces along Gervis or Meyrick Road.
There are also various pay and displays in the area, the closest being Cotlands Road:
Please do not park in the multistorey car park next to the Chocolate Box. All the spaces are reserved and you may be clamped.
