Mammoth Cave - Echo River Trail/ Mammoth Dome Sink Loop

Well behaved dogs are welcome - Mammoth Cave has a strict leash law People traveling from Bowling Green can meet up in the Fairview Shopping Center Parking lot at 10PM to Carpool/ caravan up to Mammoth Cave National Park.

At 11AM, we will start hiking at the trail head by the parking lot next to the Green River Ferry and travel along the river going past Echo River Spring and River Styx Spring. Next well climb up to the scenic overlook at Sunset Point and follow Mammoth Dome Sink trail back to the parking area. With the leaves down, the view from the overlook should be spectacular!

If you know you will be meeting up with the group at the trail head, please let me know so we'll know not to wait on you at the shopping center.

    I had fun. Look forward to going out hiking with you guys again. I think Lightning had fun, but he has been asleep since I got back so its kind of hard to tell. LoL. Hope you guys had a good rest of the hike.

    I had a wonderful time! The trail wasn't challenging, but I was definitely tired after the hike. Everyone was really nice, and all the dogs were well-behaved. :)

    Mammoth Cave Nanal Park will be having their annual Christmas Cave Sing at 2:00 PM including Christmas music, carols and group performances in the cave. Also, about 3:00 PM there will be free hot cider and cookies in the Hotel lobby. The public is invited.
