New Meetup: Bernheim Forest Canceled - Lost River Cave POSSIBLE replacement

Hi Everyone,

Because of the ice storm and power outage in Elizabethtown, I am canceling the trip to Bernheim Forest and possibly replacing it with a short exploratory trip to Lost River Cave in Bowling Green.

I called Lost River Cave and they are still clearing their trails today and they are not sure they will be open tomorrow. I'll call in the morning and update the website by 10 AM.

I've never been on Lost River's trail so this will be an opportunity to check it out. If they are open, we'll meet at 1 PM in the Lost River parking lot. The trail is only 3 miles so it shouldn't take long to hike it. The high temp tomorrow is listed at 46! but the trail will probably still be really wet. Expect to get a little muddy. If Lost River Cave's trail isn't open, you'll be on your own to enjoy the day (I can only do so much smile).
