The Center for Rural Affairs is hosting a forum on agriculture and climate in Polson Tuesday June 11, 5-7pm at the meeting room at the North Lake County Public Library.
Please pass this information and poster along to folks who might be interested.
The panel discussion will include a climate scientist talking about what we know about the science of climate change and its impacts in western MT, a speaker talking about climate from a faith perspective, possibly someone from the tribe to discuss their climate action plan, 2 ranchers and 1 farmer to talk about practical farming and ranching methods they're implementing to their operations to make them more climate adaptable. Soil building, transitioning to organic practices, water conservation...
practical things that farmers and ranchers can do to save money and make their operations more resilient, wherever they are on the spectrum of climate change recognition.
Attached is a flyer that's easy to post on social media and send around in emails. There's also attached a printer friendly version on a white background.
