Now that the semester is starting, let's see what kind of turnout we can get. For this talk, we'll go less technical and more pop. I'm planning to give a talk on markdown, rmarkdown, knitr, pandoc, and friends and how all these things relate. These tools are all used for "reproducible research" which seems to be the current buzzword of statistical research in science.
If you want to follow along, the easiest thing to do will be to make sure you have the most recent RStudio installed as well as the knitr package. I'm pretty sure the new RStudio bundles both the rmarkdown package and pandoc.
