What about your brain fascinates you most?

I can't pin down exactly what fascinates me the most about the brain, but there are several things that pique my interest. I love the plasticity of the brain in relation to learning. I also love research relating to consciousness and decision-making that tends to spark philosophical debate about free will and determinism. Also, the debate about consciousness after death of which I'm very skeptical of, is very interesting to me as well. There's plenty of other things too, but I don't wish to gush on about it.

We explore brain health, physiology, psychology, medicine, consciousness, metaphysics and physics. What areas are you most interested in?

This may come off as redundant because I already stated this in my short bio. The areas I'm most interested in are consciousness, psychology, and metaphysics.

What do you want to learn about through our meetups?

I would like to learn more about how consciousness works in the ethical and consumerist decisions we make as well as how it works in relation to life, death, and personal identity. I'd also like to attend any meetups on any of the aforementioned topics I listed that intrigue me.

Any other comments?

Introduction

Hi! Although I never majored in neuroscience (I'm a psych grad), I've been following it since high school, and have always maintained a high interest in the areas of cognitive neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, and developmental neuroscience.
