What we're about

Brampton Start Up Meet Up

True story.

When I co-founded the KICKSTART Business Community in Malaysia in July 2012, we were aggressively looking for ways to build our community.

There were many exhibitions and conferences happening, with promo/booth space to rent out.

Trouble is, we are the ultimate BOOTSTRAPPERS, and we were exploring ways to get the business moving with super low of funds and to explore, share and apply best practises. It's a scary thing for me to commit to new meet up group in Brampton, and I'm sure it must be scary for you to start a business, start selling a service, product or idea and , ultimately, move forward with your dreams.

Mission Statement:

We host educational, entertaining, and experiential BOOTSTRAPPING events, seminars and trainings to support and connect aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and experienced professionals in private and public service to start connecting, trading and developing their business mindset.

Vision Statement:

To Become Brampton’s leading Bootstrapping environment that facilitates learning, earning and making a positive contribution to society.

Core Values: Core values (http://blog.7geese.com/2013/03/12/benefits-of-having-core-values-and-how-to-set-them-in-your-organization/) are what support the vision, shape the culture, and reflect what your company or organisational values.

Clarity, Connection and Communication

Welcoming Experience

The first C you need to start your business is not Cash, it is Clarity, and I figured these questions will help you gain some on your business startup plan, and get you on the right track.

Why do you want to start your own business? If you have a business idea now, what is it? Don't worry if you don't have. What is your passion? - What do you care about so much that you don't mind doing it for free? What is your talent? - What can you do better on your worst day, than others on their best day? What are your skills and/or expertise? - What did you study, or have spent lots of time honing? It can be web programming, graphic design, social media, copywriting. These skills are vital in the first stage of your startup before you're ready to hire someone. Do you know what is your absolute monthly cost of living? How much do you need to survive every month? What are the resources (not money) that you have now? Startup cash, network, prospect pool, access to products/services etc. In your own words of less than 10, what does entrepreneurship mean to you?

Next Step - Joining the group is FREE, Simple and One click away -- click on the "Join Us" below and we'll have you attending some fun, engaging, and information events in a heart beat.
