Our FINAL Reading at the Chester County Book & Music Company

It's official! The Chester County Book and Music Company has gotten its eviction notice. They will be closing in January, and will be out of that space in February.

So the final Brandywine Valley Writers Group reading there will be on Monday 7 January, 2013. THAT'S THIS MONDAY!

As usual, the event starts at 7 p.m. and goes for around an hour. In the past we invited everyone to come early and dine with us at the bookstore's restaurant...but the restaurant is now closed for good. So we're just asking everyone to be there by 6:45 pm.

In addition to being very supportive of us and all local writers, the Chester County Book and Music Company is one of the largest independent bookstores in the USA. If you haven't visited it, you should do so before it closes later this month. And everything in the store is now discounted by at least 20%.

Come out and support us at our final reading at this location!

Agreed. Vibrant setting and crisp yet natural storytelling, sweetened by realistic characters, subtle nostalgia, and a touch of humor.

Thanks to everyone who came out. I enjoyed listening to the other writers. Though I was nervous to read publicly for the first time, it was a friendly crowd, and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Thanks, too, to Chester County Book & Music Company for hosting us!

I really liked your reading as well John. Your piece felt very authentic. Within just a few pages you succeeded in defining characters that were very lifelike and your writing voice had a unique grit to it that flowed so well with the gritty plot without being cliche. Well done!

This is it, folks: our last reading at this great 30-year-old bookstore! C'mon out and help us commemorate this event.
