Our goal is to bring together game enthusiests and tabletop game designers in an effort to promote good game development. With a strong passion for diversity, we are a welcoming community for everyone! If you are a game designer, interested in learning about game design, or just want to meet friends and play some games while making them better, this is the place for you!
Come join Break My Game for a day of fun playtesting board games online from independent game designers! We will be playing all kinds of games that you would normally play on your tabletop, from Euro Games to Roll and Writes, from Real-Time Strategy to Roleplaying, we will have something for you!
We do ask that both designers and playtesters register for this event by filling out this survey https://forms.gle/5LnCCpfPcPDVggNKA.
We will be meeting in the Break My Game Discord server. If you are not already a member of our server, please follow this link to join us. https://discord.gg/W95RuVN The service is free! Simply visit us on the Introductions Channel to say hi and tell us about what brought you to us!
Requirements and Recommendations:
- A microphone is required to interact with other players on voice chat.
- You must have a Discord account and register on our server to participate. A link for joining us is above.
-It is HIGHLY recommended that you have a mouse. A trackpad for laptops will work, a mouse will be more comfortable and provide you better control during your gameplay.
- Headphones are recommended to reduce background noise and improve your gaming experience.
-A lot of designers use a program called Tabletop Simulator. This program may be required to play some but not all the games. Please consider installing this program in advance of our event.
-Cameras are not required for most games, but some games may have mechanics that rely on player interaction, such as a game with acting or charades mechanics. If you do not have a camera or are uncomfortable being on camera you will never be required to play a game with these mechanics. Simply indicate on your registration form that you prefer not to be on camera.
Thank you and I look forward to spending time with you all.
